Biografia de madness

Grupo Inglés formado en 1976.Ska y música pop es lo que hacen uno de los principales grupos del revival del ska del sello 2 Tone.
El grupo se formó por Mike Barson (Monsieur Barso) a los teclados y voces, Chris Foreman (Chrissy Boy) a la guitarra y 'Lee Thompson (Kix) en el saxofón y voces, con el nombre de The North London Invaders.En 1978 se les unieron Graham McPherson (Suggs) en las voces y como lider, Mark Bedford (Bedders) al bajo y Daniel Woodgate' (Woody) en la batería.
Tras actuar algún tiempo como The North London Invaders y Morris and the Minors, el grupo cambió su nombre por el de Madness. Carl Smyth (Chas Smash) se unió en los primeros 80 a la trompeta y voces, después de haber sido un miembro no oficial durante algún tiempo.

One Step Beyond.1979.De alguna manera este disco, junto con el primero de The Specials, se encargó de descubrir el ska, el ska-boogie y el rocksteady a los europeos continentales.
